Cataract Canyon – April Staff Pick by Vadym

Moab is a great town to spend your vocation with your family, especially if you like an outdoor sports or just do camping by the river or up in the La Sal mountains.  I want to tell you about one of my favorite things to do. Moab has many good river companies with experience and very friendly staff.  If you visiting town in a spring or summer time you definitely should to try a rafting trip to Cataract Canyon.
This trip will include up to 6 fun days of rafting, hiking, swimming and several nights of camping in a canyon. There you can see Indian Creek’s fascinating Native American ruins and float past Pyramid Butte, the mighty Goose Neck and Dead Horse Point.
I had experience with a Tag-a-long company. My trip was down Cataract Canyon in late spring. Snowmelt made us went through Class V rapids, that’s been scary but in the same time so much fun. I had a chance to hike for 1,200 feet up to the Doll House where you can view and make good pictures of the Needles District of Canyonlands National park from a unique vantage point.
If you like short rafting trip, you can also have an option to get daily west or white water trip.
