Rafting

When the weather feels a bit too hot, rafting the Colorado River is a great way to cool off and take on a thrilling adventure all at the same time. Get your heart pumping and hold on tight as you encounter your next adventure with rafting in Moab. Ride the rapids of the Colorado River and cool off in the summer with a raft trip down the Colorado River where you can spend a day or even two soaking up the water and the sunshine.

Most adventure companies will offer half and full day options, with overnight trips available as well. Most companies run tours from April or May until October. Avoid the late afternoon heat and book a morning ride down the Colorado River. Then enjoy a relaxing afternoon back at our pool and hot tub, just one of the many amenities you will love at Hotel Moab Downtown.

Jeep and 4×4 off-road tours

In Moab, off-roading is a way of life and when you think of Moab you think about four-wheeling. Ride over rugged rocky terrain and take in the beautiful scenery that lays out before you for an adventure of a lifetime. Some great trails to get you started include, Onion Creek and Fisher Towers, Geyser Pass, and the Gemini Bridge Trail. If you are looking for more of a challenge, tackle Hell’s Revenge or Poison Spider Mesa.

If you don’t want to go it alone, there are several tour companies in Moab that are ready to take you out on your summer adventure. Many outfitters in town offer guided tours, with morning, afternoon, and sunset tours.

Rock climbing and canyoneering

With Moab’s landscape filled with massive boulders, rocky cliff walls, and deep canyon, it’s no wonder why people from all over the world come to Moab for rock climbing and canyoneering. The water carved canyons make for a great opportunity for canyoneering. Rappel into a deep canyon, often times into waist-deep water, and explore the canyon’s beauty as you hike your way out.
