Mill Creek Parkway

Things to Do in Moab, Utah

Mill Creek starts high in the La Sal Mountains and runs right through the heart of downtown Moab before making its way towards the Colorado River. In the late 90s officials were able to get plans approved for a multiuse parkway, Mill Creek Parkway, that that would run along the Mill Creek allowing users to admire the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

The completed Mill Creek Parkway is a two-mile paved path designed, for bicycles, joggers, and other non-motorized modes of transportation. Forget that you are surrounded by a red sandy desert as you travel the tree-lined trail on the banks of Mill Creek. You can enter and exit and many different points on the trail. Since it cuts through town, many locals use the parkway for a shortcut into town or even an evening stroll from work.
