Double Arch at Arches National Park - May Staff Pick by Dax

I moved to Moab about 3 months ago from Grand Junction, CO. When we first arrived early spring the weather was perfect for hiking. We decided to take a trip to the Arches National Park. The easy relaxing drive into the park and the clear road signs, made our first experience fun and easy. There are so many places to visit in the park we just couldn’t do it in one day. Personally the double arch was my favorite. Reading the history of its formation was fascinating. It explained that the formation was caused by buildup of water on the roof of one large arch that split it down into two from downward water erosion. With nice parking lots and easy access bathrooms, Arches is easily one of the best, first things to do in Moab, Utah.
