Ken's Lake is the best place to cool down in the desert! It is located 10 miles south of town and while usually there are people visiting, it never seems crowded or busy. It offers camping but also a day use area for swimming, paddleboarding, boating, fishing and more! The lake also backs up to a variety of trails to hike and horseback ride, all while following the path of a creek for a quick dip when you get too hot.
Ken's Lake is part of a water storage project with the water coming from the Faux Falls to be stored in the lake. The Faux Falls is also a short hike from either the lake itself or the various trailheads.
Overall the BLM surrounding Ken's Lake is perfect for any outdoor activity for all skill levels. Alyce uses this area to tire out her dogs with daily swimming and hiking!
