March Events Happening

Hotel Moab Downtown would like to welcome you to some terrific events happening here in March.  March is an ideal time to visit Moab as the weather is nearly perfect for playing outdoors.

March 12 – 15 Moab Skinny Tire Festival
Road cycling festival through iconic Arches National Park, Dead Horse Point State Park and Colorado River Corridor.  Classic Bike Show and Contest, Family Fun Day, Cowboy Cookout and more.  Choose two or four day ride options.  Put purpose to your cycling!  Festival benefits cancer survivorship programs.  For more info visit or call 435-260-8889.

March 19 – 27  50th Annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari
Some visitors drive thousands of miles across country to attend this event every year, and there are even some who fly in to Denver from other countries and then make the beautiful drive through the canyons and mountains to reach Moab.  This year we have visitors coming in from Switzerland, Italy and more.
Experience the red desert from mesa top to canyon bottom in your own vehicle on 40 different trails ranging in difficulty from 2-9.  All trails in this nine day event are guided by experienced, friendly trail officials.  For more info visit or call 435-259-ROCK.
Some trails, specifically the higher difficulty ones can be dangerous for inexperienced drivers, especially if they go at it alone. Inexperienced groups are advised to bring a spotter along on the more difficult trails to avoid injuries and rollovers.  Although many people drive Jeeps, you will see a variety of 4x4 vehicles on the trails.
In addition to all of the trail rides, there are many individual events, and the week is capped off with a vendor show on the 24th and 25th featuring a barbeque and a raffle which this year will feature the giveaway of a 2016 Jeep Rubicon Red Rock Edition.
Many visitors plan their Jeep Safari trip years in advance, so if we don’t see you in 2016, hopefully you will make it out to Moab soon for this amazing 9-day event!
