Delicate Arch
Probably the most iconic arch within the park is the Delicate Arch. The arch rises 46 feet from the ground, making it the largest free-standing arch in the park. The hike to the base of the arch is three miles, round trip. While accessible for most, there are a few steep drops offs, which some may not enjoy. It is one of the most popular hikes in the park, so expect plenty of people walking alongside you. If you don’t want to walk that far, then stop at the lower delicate arch viewpoint, only 100 yards from the parking lot.

Windows Section
As one of the most popular arches to see in Arches National Park, the Windows Section contains a large concentration of arches. Notable features include the Double Arch, Turret Arch, and the North Window. An easy trail from the parking lot will take you to the South and North Windows as well as the Turret Arch.
Double Arch
Located almost directly across from the Windows section is the popular Double Arch. While you can see the Double Arch from the parking lot, it is much more impressive (as most of these are) when experienced up close. There is a short hike that leads you to the base of the arch, making this easily accessible for the entire family.
Landscape Arch
For those who want a bit of a challenge, hike the primitive Devil’s Garden loop to see the Landscape Arch. While the entire Devil’s Garden hike is 7.2 miles, a 1.6-mile round trip from the same trailhead will lead you to Landscape Arch. Also, spot Navajo Arch and Partition Arch in the same area. This hike is found at the far end of the park and requires a little scrambling and exposure to bare ledges.
Sand Dune Arch
Walk through thick sand amongst narrow rock fins, with what almost feels like you are in a slot canyon, to reach the Sand Dune Arch. This arch sits much lower to the ground, providing a real personal experience with the structure. The short hike to the arch is a great spot for families and people of all skill levels.
