Moab, Utah once was a hotbed for dinosaurs that used to roam this earth. Moab Dinosaur Park attractions

The park and museum are home to a wide variety of attractions that bring you one step closer to meeting Moab’s giants. From an indoor 3D theater to an outdoor trail with dinosaur tracks, there are plenty of ways to learn more about the dinosaurs that once roamed the area.

  • 5D Prehistoric aquarium – As the main feature of the park, the 5D Prehistoric Aquarium is a virtual underwater theater that showcases the dinosaurs that didn’t live on land. The virtual walking theater brings to life the sea creatures that once inhabited our waters through an interactive exhibit.  
  • 3D theater – With your 3D glasses, learn about the history of the universe from the time of the Big Bang to the Age of the Dinosaurs. It’s the perfect introduction to your visit to the Moab Dinosaur Park.
  • Spot dinosaur tracks – Keep your eye out for original dinosaur tracks in the rocks displayed throughout the park. And to learn more about the dinosaur tracks that fill Moab’s landscape, be sure to visit the Tracks Museum exhibits. The latest technology highlights fossil footprints and their impact.

If you are looking to explore more outside, be sure to hit the Dinosaur Trail. The half-mile trail features over 100 full-size dinosaur replicas of those that used to roam the area. Here is where you can spot real dinosaur tracks and get a chance to uncover dinosaur fossils from designated sandboxes, this is perfect for the little ones!

While there are many dining options in Moab, the park does offer an on-site café, the Giants Café. Choose from burgers and sandwiches to salads and soups. They also offer a decent kids’ menu.

What to bring

If you plan to enjoy the outdoor activities in the summer, be sure to bring clothing that is light, breathable, and wicks moisture away. Plus, sun protection, sunglasses, and hats – summers in Moab can be very hot.

The museum is open Sunday through Monday, except Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tickets are sold online. For the full experience, get the all-inclusive pass or if you just want to explore outside, choose the Dino Pass – outdoor only.
