Top Hikes in Moab

When looking for the top hikes in Moab, most everyone thinks of either Arches National Park or Canyonlands National Park. But Moab also offers a nice list of trails with beautiful scenery, all waiting to be explored. And the best part about these hikes is that there are no entrance fees required and they tend to have fewer crowds. Discover your favorite with our list below.

Grandstaff Canyon

Grandstaff Hiking Trail, formerly known as Negro Bill Canyon Trail, Moab, Utah, United States.

For a great day-hike, check out the Grandstaff Canyon to Morning Glory Bridge. Beginning at the Colorado River, this 4.6-mile hike traverses up a canyon, following a cooling stream. The hike culminates at the Morning Glory Bridge, a 243-foot-long natural bridge.

Cable Arch

Also known as the Funnel Arch trail, Cable Arch is a short hike that leads visitors to a large arched rock formation. While the trail is short, there is a bit of class 2 scrambling required but is completely manageable. Lesser known than the nearby Corona Arch, you likely not see too many people, which makes this one of our favorite things to do in Moab.

Hidden Valley Trail

Get away from it all with the challenging hike along the Hidden Valley Trail. The 4-mile trail ventures through Hidden Valley between Moab Rim and Spanish Valley, providing stunning views of the sandstone formations of the Behind the Rocks area.

Fisher’s Tower

Fisher Tower — MOab, Utah

Considered one of the area’s hidden gems, Fisher Towers is a great place to not only take in beautiful views but avoid the crowds as well. The Fisher Towers is a scenic sandstone rock formation that has weathered over time, creating a statuesque tower of unique shapes. The 4.5-mile out and the back trail provides vista views and a nice challenge.

Mill Creek Parkway Trail

Located next to the Hotel Moab Downtown, the Mill Creek Parkway Trail is a paved 2-mile trail that is perfect for an early morning walk or evening stroll to end your day.
